The Courage Faith Action Journey Model represented linearly.  Copy Right on this Material 2018; Daniel E. Roane

The CFA Journey Model as illustrated on a single path line; the line or path represents our travel along time or distance towards a Destination the same as in the geometrical pyramid representation does.  As previously discussed, our journey's begin with Courage, are driven by Faith throughout, and Actions produce tangible results. What's more, CFA can be high or low in nature and goes through cycles as we travel towards a particular destination.  In the linear model illustration below these cycles are seen as loops. Action exists on the path line itself, Faith is mixed into the volume of the journey, and Courage is seen as High at the top of the path and Lower at the bottom sections.

So, if you might imagine yourself at the outset of a decision or journey to follow the model as seen above; I will try to give a simple example of what your journey X looks like based on CFA=D. In this example I will not blend the High and Low portions of the model deeply; that will be explained more later as we continue to gain a better understanding of the Model's Components complete interactions-interdependence to one another.

So imagine, at the outset of a journey you make a decision. You decide to take on or do X. That would be the first appearance of the Courage Component; then you build Faith.  To whatever degree, the Faith that comes next is your belief at some level that you can attain X for whatever reasoning you have. Next you begin to travel in time or mentally by Action. As you set out you are at the relative top of the cycle. Your journey then moves forward and inevitably you will encounter challenges or unknown areas that create doubt or "lostness". These challenges are represented in the path line where it crosses itself and begins to move downward from the relative top section.  The downward section in your journey path line for X is representative of the periods where Faith becomes an important driver to continue to fuel the journeys cyclical nature. It is at this point that Faith carries your journey through unknown or doubtful periods allowing for Courage to be rebuilt and Actions to continue.  As pointed out, during this part of the Journey Cycle Courage is rebuilt or renewed and that along with Action you move back to the top line section to begin the loop over again as the next challenge will arise.  This is similar to the Hero's Journey; however, it is the key components of CFA=D that are internally developed and controlled vs external drivers and influences of the Hero's Journeys illustration that are very different.

* It is this very notion that is the single most important thing we must understand about the CFA=D Model in order for its application to be unlocked to the fullest, and the power this knowledge can have upon our life's journeys. It is this single idea that The CFA=D Model lays out, "That we may each actively control to a large extent our Courage, Faith and Action, (the fundamental components necessary for any journey ventured) as we travel to consciencly arrive at any Destination we set out to reach." which is all powerful.  It is this concept that gives us tangible power to be used in order to guide and direct ourselves towards the outcomes we seek. It is this simple fact that makes The CFA=D Equation a powerful and effective tool to create success in our life's Journey's moving forward, no matter their nature or degree of difficulty etc.

This fact that all three components, Courage, Faith and Action are shared foundational key components that all of our journeys must have in order to take place, and the fact that all three of these components can be developed, studied, and improved upon by us individually is the most important part for the entire CFA=D Journey Model; this is what makes the model a practical working tool that allows for its active use in our daily lives.

We can break down Courage and what specifically it means to us as individuals. Where do we each get Courage, How do we build our Courage, how can we ensure that it remains High, How do we best identify when it may be lacking or low. When is it appropriate and when is it not? etc.

The same holds true for Faith; we can look to understand for each of ourselves what builds our Faith, where do we draw it from, how can we increase it and how do we recognize that faith may be waning or lacking on our journeys? etc.

Certainly Actions may be developed as well; we can look into our Actions, are they efficient or effective? Are they appropriate, are we acting too much, or not enough for a given goal or destination we have in mind? etc..

This is where I will stop for today and where we will begin next time.

Take some time to study and comprehend the model as it has been so far explained; I will now move as we go forward into the application of CFA=D to our journeys.  We will break down each component and gain a better understanding of them each as stand alone parts needed.  As we learn to develop them (Courage, Faith, Action) independently we will then come back and use them in the model to see how we can best achieve High Destinations together.

I hope to hear from you as we do this and see how these components play their roles in your travels; how your gained knowledge of their importance in the cycles helps to use them to travel the path towards your personal destinations.

God Bless
Danny
